Service: The DOPE Ballistics mobile application (“App”) and the website at dope.wiggill.com (“Site”)
Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) carefully before using the App or Site. By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App or Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App or Site.
1. Eligibility and age
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Site. The App involves firearms-related calculations and is intended for adults who are legally permitted to possess and use firearms in their jurisdiction. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws.
2. No user accounts
DOPE Ballistics does not create or require user accounts. Access to paid features is managed through Apple’s In-App Purchase and subscription system tied to your Apple ID. We do not operate a separate login system for the App.
3. Licence to use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with Apple’s App Store terms and these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App except as permitted by law
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where legally permitted
- Use the App to develop a competing product
- Remove proprietary notices
- Use the App in any unlawful manner or in connection with unsafe firearms handling
4. Ballistics disclaimer — important
THE APP PROVIDES ESTIMATES ONLY. Ballistic solutions depend on many variables, including rifle configuration, ammunition lot, atmospheric conditions, shooter technique, and equipment condition. Catalogue data, ballistic coefficients, and muzzle velocities are approximate and may not match your firearm.
YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for:
- Safe handling, storage, and use of firearms
- Verifying all load and equipment data before shooting
- Confirming holds and adjustments through chronograph data and live fire
- Following range rules and applicable laws
WE DISCLAIM LIABILITY for any injury, death, property damage, or loss arising from reliance on the App’s calculations or data. The App is not a substitute for professional instruction, published manufacturer data, or sound judgment.
5. Equipment catalogue
Product names, reticle names, and manufacturer references in the App are used for identification and compatibility only. DOPE Ballistics is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any firearm, ammunition, or optics manufacturer unless explicitly stated.
6. Subscriptions and payments (DOPE Pro)
Certain features require a paid subscription (“DOPE Pro”).
- Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, not directly by us
- Pricing, billing, renewals, free trials, and cancellations are governed by Apple’s terms and your Apple ID settings
- Subscription management: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device
- We do not store your payment card details
Refund requests for In-App Purchases must be directed to Apple in accordance with App Store policies.

7. Intellectual property
The App, Site, logos, design, text, software, and compilation of catalogue data are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights.
8. Third-party services
The App may integrate with or link to third-party services, including but not limited to:
- Apple (App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, MapKit, Core Location)
- Open-Meteo (weather data)
- Map data providers via Apple Maps
Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9. iCloud and local data
If you enable iCloud sync (Pro), data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple’s terms. You are responsible for maintaining your Apple ID and iCloud security. We do not operate cloud servers for user rifle data beyond what Apple’s iCloud key-value store provides for sync.
10. Site and support
The Site provides information, legal documents, and a support contact form. Information on the Site may be updated without notice. Support requests submitted through the Site will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
11. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Submit false, abusive, or unlawful content through support channels
- Attempt to disrupt or compromise the App, Site, or related systems
- Scrape or harvest data from the Site in violation of applicable law or robots.txt
- Misrepresent your identity when contacting support
12. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that ballistic outputs will be accurate for your specific rifle and conditions.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR SITE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP OR SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP OR SUBSCRIPTIONS IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD $50), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED BY LAW.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App or Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights, including unsafe firearms use.
15. Termination
We may suspend or discontinue the App or Site at any time. These Terms remain in effect while you use the App or Site. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) survive termination.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App or Site after changes constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we may provide notice in the App or on the Site.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which dope.wiggill.com operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
